Ginny Hensler

Born
and raised in Glendale, California, world renowned artist, Ginny Hensler
has been creating award
winning visual impressions of her surroundings in oils, watercolors and
pastels for over 40 years. She moved to the Prescott area 20 years
ago. She has had showings of her work at Prescott College, the Prescott Fine Arts Association show called "Southwest Visions", one artist show at Artemesia Gallery, and for the past 10 years has been teaching with the Yavapai College Elderhostel program. Even though Ginny currently concentrates on painting landscapes of the Southwestern United States, she has also created scenic works of harbors and woodland lakes. The focus of her painting goes beyond the impressionists' experiments with light in that shape becomes the visual representation. She likes to utilize different papers, brushes and techniques in painting the same scene in different ways. |
